Background
The global financial crisis and economic downturn are forcing business to re-examine priorities
and re-focus on core activities making the question of necessity the new benchmark of
corporate decision-making. Companies for whom Corporate Social Responsibility has become
an integral part of corporate DNA and a tool for competitiveness face difficult choices in this environment. Fortunately, there is an array of resources and assistance that can make CSR programs more cost-effective.
This seminar will bring to Toronto leading international CSR support organisations – government,
multilateral and private - that partner with private sector companies to develop, implement
and co-finance CSR projects. These are not consulting companies, but rather organisations
with deep experience, resources and a mission to advance the practice and reach of CSR.
This breakfast program will feature a moderated roundtable with focused, business-relevant
presentations and debate among the panellists on innovations in public-private partnerships
across a variety of sectors. A short question and answer session with the audience will follow
the session with time for one-on-one follow up over coffee at the end of the event.
