Following the convocation of the Third Summit of the Americas in Quebec City in April 2001, the Inter-American Studies Centre (ISC) was created to conduct research on the development of inter-American cooperation in the wake of the initiatives taken at the Summits of the Americas in areas such as economic integration and free trade, democracy and human rights, health and education, hemispheric security, and sustainable development.

Inter-American Court of Human Rights
This website provides both procedural and substantive information on the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. In November 1969 member states of the Organization of the American States adopted the American Convention on Human Rights, which entered into force on July 18, 1978. By the close of 2004 , 25 American states had ratified or had adopted the Convention. In order to safeguard the essentials rights of man in the American continent, the Convention created two organs to promote the observance and protection of human rights: the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
Inter-American Democracy Network (IADN)
A horizontally-woven network of civil society organizations that work in the public arena in order to strengthen participatory democracy and civic responsibility development. IADN seeks to build an America integrated through solidarity, with well-structured democratic systems; a social, cultural, and political space with no room for exclusion; and an active, participatory, and responsible civil society. The IADN focuses on several key themes related to democracy, including: Transparency, Participation in Hemispheric Processes, Local Government Decentralization and Strengthening, and the strengthening of Political Parties

Partners of the Americas
Partners was founded in 1964 as the people-to-people component of the Alliance for Progress. Today, it is a private, nonprofit and nonpartisan organization, enjoying the support of many committed volunteers, international corporations, public agencies, and foundations. Partners of the Americas is the largest volunteer-based organization in the western hemisphere engaged in social, economic, and cultural development. In an increasingly interdependent world, Partners is a network of enduring linkages among professionals, institutions, and communities across the hemisphere. Drawing on this unique network of community-based chapters of people and organizations, Partners' activities are remarkably diverse. They range from disaster assistance to cultural exchange, from democracy strengthening to domestic violence prevention and environment protection.
